About the Role

Our Volunteer Leads are responsible for supporting, developing, and caring for our volunteer community. This is a people-focused leadership role that ensures volunteers feel welcomed, supported, and equipped to contribute safely and effectively to Community Medics’ work.

Volunteer Leads oversee the full volunteer journey, from recruitment and onboarding through ongoing support, development, and retention. They help ensure volunteers remain compliant with mandatory training and checks, provide regular opportunities for feedback and 1-to-1 support, and address issues in a fair, respectful, and proportionate way.

This role carries responsibility and accountability. Volunteer Leads support people-related processes, including welfare concerns, conduct matters, and investigations or disciplinary processes where required, always working in line with policy and with support from the leadership team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting people, handling responsibility with care, and helping others thrive within clear structures and expectations.
